Create New Craft Projects
Whether you’re making crafts to decorate your shed and home or to give as gifts, your garden shed is the perfect place to set up for crafting. You can work to your heart’s content and then leave everything out when you’re finished.
How many times have you gotten out your supplies and started working on a project, only to have to put it all away to set the table for dinner? Using your shed allows you to just leave everything out and ready for next time. You can walk away even if you’re in the middle of something and then come back to where you left off.
Create a Gift Wrapping Station
It’s so nice to be able to have a dedicated area for gift wrapping. A place to keep all the ribbons and bows, name tags and paper supplies set up and ready to use. Then when you need to wrap a present the supplies are ready for you.
A Perfect Place to Store Your Gifts
If you want to keep your gifts out of sight then the garden shed is the perfect place to store Santa’s bounty. This is especially beneficial if you have inquisitive kids and grandkids. They wouldn’t think to look in the garden shed for their presents.
A Great Place for some needed R and R
Set up a hot cocoa bar for your friends and family to gather over the holidays. After you’re done crafting and wrapping it’s time for a little break. So create a snack station where you can take a break from your busy holiday activities. This is a great get-away place when you need some peace and quiet.
What you’ll need to set up Santa’s Workshop…
Heat
You might need to add in a few amenities to make your garden shed comfortable for working in. Heating your shed is probably most important if you want to work out there. If you have electricity to your shed you could use a free-standing space heater to warm it up. Without electricity you could use a propane/camping style heater. Be sure to not leave any of these heaters unattended to reduce the risk of a fire.
Keep a supply of blankets on hand to stay warm while you’re sitting. And have a sweater or shawl handy to throw on for an extra layer.
